10.12

That is how much Elle weighed when I took her to the pediatrician last Friday. She has been such a finicky eater lately that I was really starting to worry that she wasn't gaining enough weight, but thankfully that isn't the case.

We had such a fun weekend! We went and spent the night at Carol's on Friday and enjoyed spending time with her. On Saturday we did a little shopping and then spent the day out at my parent's house. They were in Lubbock, but we got to play their Wii and enjoy their hot tub! Once the sun went down some, we took Elle out on the paddle boat and road around the lake for awhile. It was a lot of fun spending time with just the three of us. Elle is getting much better about napping in places other than her beloved swing, so that has been an added bonus!

On Sunday our church had a 'Family Fun Fest', which was basically a carnival that they held on the church grounds. We got some corn dogs and snow cones and got really, really sweaty! :) We were invited to Hogan's (Kellie and Justin's dog) 2nd birthday party on Sunday night and had a great time seeing all of our friends. All in all it was a great weekend!

We have a busy week ahead of us since we will be heading to Boston on Saturday. I feel like there are a million things I need to do and buy before we go. Hopefully I will be able to get everything done.

I took a cute video of Elle in her exersaucer, but it isn't letting me upload it, so you'll have to settle for some pictures.

Happy Monday!

On our way to the doctor - no shots this time!

Hot Child in the City!

It was a hot one here in Dallas, so Elle decided she needed to try out her new pool. I set up the pool and put the water in it about 30 minutes before we went out in hopes that it would warm up a bit. It was actually still pretty cold when Elle got in, but she didn't fuss at all and really seemed to like it. She is just now starting to splash around when she is in her bath tub, so I thought it would be fun for her to be able to splash around outside.

What a cutie!

Do you like my cute bow?

This is what happens when Mom decides not to put a diaper on me! Ha Ha - she'll learn someday!

Heads Up

Noah and I have really seen such a change in Elle over the last few weeks. She is so much more alert and can hold her head up so much better. She does still tend to lean her head to the side when she is in her swing or car seat, but not as much when she is holding her head up on her own. We have continued to try to prop her neck up so that it doesn't lean as much, and hopefully we will get some more direction from her pediatrician at her 4 month well visit next month.

Last Saturday night we met some of our friends in Downtown Addison to listen to some Salsa music outdoors. It was a pretty warm night, but there was a nice breeze to keep us semi-cool. We had a great time though, and are really enjoying being able to take Elle with us to more places.
